To live is to learn, and to learn is to live.

I’m 24, born in the US and raised between there, Chile, and Switzerland. I studied forensic psychology at Tilburg University and hope to one day open a nonprofit therapeutic clinic focused on addiction and post-prison rehabilitation. In the meantime, I work as a nanny and petsitter and travel as much as I can.
I learned about KCC through my high school (ISZL) and came to Kokrobite for the first time in 2024. I loved everything about it so much that I knew I had to come back and I returned in late 2025 for a three month internship.
Being here for longer has meant slowing down; learning how KCC works from the inside, contributing where I can, and spending time at the learning centre, where curiosity, stories, and routines shape each day.

I’m 19 years old and grew up in the Netherlands and Switzerland, with family roots in the UK. Currently on a gap year after graduating from the IBDP programme, I will start at Oxford University to study Human Sciences: an interdisciplinary degree combining anthropology, biological and social sciences. I hope to pursue a career in international health.
I first came to the KCC with my high school (ISZL) to work on the aquaponics project and was fascinated by how Ghana’s traditions and innovative spirit marry to create a rich tapestry of culture. Since then, I’ve returned twice independently, once for a week and once for a month-long internship, working in a maternity ward, collecting research on the impact of climate change on malaria in the region, and continuing to work on the aquaponics project.
My experiences in Ghana have helped shape my ambitions and my worldview. From learning about local health challenges to building fish tanks and plant trays, I’ve come to appreciate how closely health, environment, and infrastructure are connected. I am excited to keep supporting where I can and learning even more!
