Diary of a KCC Intern is a shared writing space created by volunteers working with Kokrobite Chiltern Centre (KCC) in Kokrobite, Ghana.
This site was built to document reflections on everyday life and work as it is lived here. Rather than offering conclusions, this blog functions as a living notebook.
Each entry captures a moment in time: an observation, a task, a conversation, a realization, adding to the growing record of what contributing to the meaningful work that KCC does can look like. Over time, different voices will contribute to this archive as volunteers come and go, each bringing their own perspective while working towards the same shared goals.
Kokrobite Chiltern Centre is a UK registered charity and Ghana registered NGO, focused on removing barriers to education while promoting sustainability, innovation, and community driven solutions. Much of that work happens behind the scenes, this site aims to make some of that invisible labor visible.
The posts here are not meant to speak for the community, nor to offer a definitive account of life in Kokrobite. They are the perspectives of individual volunteers, grounded in experience and shaped by proximity. Contributors are encouraged to write with care, humility, and attention to people, to place, and to the work itself.
Together, these entries form an evolving portrait of life and work in Kokrobite as KCC volunteers experience it: unfinished, ongoing, and deeply personal.
